Dresden Advent Calendar

From Brück and Sohn (Printers in Meissen, Germany since 1793) a charming Advent Calendar of Dresden, Germany,  depicting a Christmas Market in front of the Frauenkirche. Dresden was the home of the first German Christmas market in 1434.  Art by G. Hildebrandt.  This delightful advent calendar is 10.5" x 12.5".  

Brück and Sohn's first historical city advent calendar. The Dresden Neumarkt is in the forefront. The Frauenkirche was destroyed by bombs during World War II. Under the initiation and direction of Ludwig Güttler the Dresdner Frauenkirche was resurrected and became a symbol for worldwide peace and reconciliation.
