Noah's Ark with Animals / Size Small

Christian Werner's award winning, wooden Noah's Ark, Rainbow, ramp and figures.

Figures included are - Noah and his wife and 18 detailed animal pairs: horse, giraffe, cow, donkey, pig, elephant, camel, sheep, geese, goat, mountain goat (Ibex), chicken, two different pairs of dogs (the small dog and the German shepherd), duck, polar bear, and dove.

Ring-turned animals have been made for generations. As the wooden ring turns (see image below), the ring-turner (Reifendreher) meticulously uses chisels to create precise grooves in the moist fir wood. The raw shapes of each animal are sliced off the wooden ring using a hammer and knife. The toy maker's skilled hands carve the animal's final shape and finally they are painted by the workshop's artists. 

The ark measures 5-1/2" high x 10 inches long x 4" wide.
